When a town comes alive to the beat of the drum!
Yes, it’s that time again!!
I’m at the Trundle ABBA Festival, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of ABBA’s visit to Australia.
This is my last ABBA festival as I will be moving on to greater ventures, so I wanted to share with you, just a little insight of this adventure, my family and I experienced during our time living in the village of Trundle.
The village of Trundle NSW comes alive to the beat of ABBA tunes, ever year!
Fans come from far and wide to see the band Bjorn Again, strike a cord to the tune of everyone’s favourites, including mine.
I grew up with knowing the band ABBA very well, and it has been fantastic to be able to celebrate and enjoy them, with my children.
This year was particularly a special event as it was the 40th Anniversary, that ABBA originally came to visit Australia, so it couldn’t be a better ending for me.
I had the pleasure of meeting with the Mayor of Parkes Shire, Ken Keith.
The community of Trundle was very privileged to have the presence of the Swedish Ambassadör Pär Ahlberger, who was accompanied by his lovely family as they took part in the festivities.
Ambassador Par Ahlberger, gave a wonderful presentation to the local school and the communities library, which I had the pleasure of attending.
My family and I attended the towns library, where Ambassador Par Ahlberger had presented the library with an assortment of children’s books.
We then went on to join in to the communities festivities the next day, and was a delightful treat for the community of Trundle NSW Australia.
Kelly Haywood, is well on her way to becoming a top journalist in her field, and happily shared a moment with myself as she prepares for her next shoot.
Trundle is known for it’s favourite watering hole, and if these walls could talk they would have a few stories to tell, quite often I’ve enjoyed many coffee’s with friends in the warmth of the wood fire.
Now one of the main features included in the festivities is the well known Trundle Pub.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for our next adventure!
Who knows where we’ll end up, we may be in your neighbourhood 🙂
